Facts are stubborn thingsF Prof. Surabhi Banarjee, VC of the University of Gour Banga(WB) was appointed as the VC of Central University of Orissa, vide Notification No. F. 42-2/2009-Desk (u) Dated 28th February, New Delhi, 2009.
F Prof. Banarjee joined the Central University of Orissa on the `same day of notification i.e. on Feb 28, 2009 in submitting her joining report to the visitor ( President of India, New Delhi).
F As per the web site ot the University of Gour Banga (WB) : http:// www.ugb.ac.in/ vc / Prof. Banerjee was continuing as the VC of Goura Banga tile June 8, 2009. If is rather strange as to how is it possible for the same person to hold two posts from 28-02-2009 to 08-06-2009
F When Prof. Banarjee submitted her resignation to the chancellor (Governor of west Bengal) ?
F When the resignation was accepted ?
F Was she in duel charges of both the Universities on the basis of any such order?
F If not what is the inside story?
